YPOG advises Project A Ventures on exit of HealthTech Klara

Berlin – A YPOG team co-led by Johannes Janning and Frederik Gärtner advised Project A Ventures on the exit of its portfolio company Klara to ModMed.

Next to Project A, also Gradient Ventures, Frist Cressey, FirstMark Capital, Lerer Hippeau, Stage 2 Capital, Atlantic Labs and Creathor Ventures invested more than $30 million in Klara over the past years. As part of the exit to ModMed, the HealthTech will now expand and strengthen its US operations and further develop its product and platform.

The digitization of doctor-patient communication gained increasing importance, not least as a result of the Corona pandemic. Doctor shortages and a lack of medical appointments make it difficult to provide medical treatment for patients. Klara's innovative patient communication tool is a stunning example of what telehealth solutions can achieve for the healthcare system", says Associated Partner Johannes Janning.
