Dr. Tim Fabian Walter

Education and Career

Tim studied law in Bonn and Prague. After completing his doctorate at the University of Cologne on handling fees in corporatee loan agreements, he completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf. Before joining YPOG, he was a senior associate at Hengeler Mueller in Düsseldorf, specialising in M&A and private equity.
Tim is a co-lecturer for corporate law in the master's programme ‘Business Law’ at the University of Münster (JurGrad).

Experience

Tim’s recent work highlights include advising (partly in the context of his previous work at Hengeler Mueller):

• Private equity and strategic investors on complex M&A transactions in the large and mid-cap segment, including adidas AG on the sale of the Reebok business to private equity firm Authentic Brands Group, Waterland Private Equity on the acquisition of dacoso Group and Paragon Partners on the acquisition of Dymatrix GmbH

• Portfolio companies of private equity funds on management equity participation programmes (MEPs), including complex rollover structures

• Companies and private clients on various corporate and capital markets law matters and shareholder disputes
