Jann Fiedler

Jann is part of the team around notary Lilly. Together, they will build and expand YPOG’s new business area of notarial services. Jann’s longstanding and diverse experience and expertise as a legal advisor and notary greatly strengthens YPOG’s notarial-services team. Jann was admitted to the bar in 1977; he served as a notary from 1987 until 2021 (when he reached the statutory age limit for notaries) in the law firm of Fiedler, Zmija & Partner, which he co-founded.

Jann has extensive experience in advising entrepreneurs, companies and individuals, particularly in the field of real estate. Moreover, he advises them on matters of general civil law. Another focus of Jann’s activity is corporate law.

Education and Career

In addition to his work as an attorney and notary, Jann served for decades on a wide variety of governing bodies. Inter alia, he served in the Berlin Bar Association, of which he was a board member for 14 years, including 8 years as vice president. For more than 10 years, he was a lecturer at the German Attorneys’ Academy in the field of advanced training for notaries. Beyond that, he was a member of the Synod of the Protestant Church of Berlin-Brandenburg Silesian Upper Lausitz, including as a member of the church’s leadership (2003–2015). Since 1994, Jann has cultivated close ties with Israel, and he is a longstanding member of the German-Israeli Lawyers Association.
