Laura is an Associate in the White-Collar Crime, Compliance & Investigations practice. She advises companies and individuals on white-collar criminal law and compliance matters, with a particular focus on foreign trade law and export controls as well as security- and defence-related technologies (defence tech).
A key focus of her work is preventive advice aimed at identifying and mitigating criminal and sanctions-related risks, as well as advising on and legally assessing sensitive criminal and regulatory matters in the context of internal investigations.
Education and Career
Laura studied law in Berlin and gained practical experience in Berlin and Cologne with renowned boutiques specialising in white-collar and tax criminal law. Prior to joining YPOG, she worked as a research assistant in the white-collar crime practice of a leading law firm in Berlin. She completed her legal traineeship at the Berlin Court of Appeal (Kammergericht), including placements with a well-known Berlin criminal defence lawyer and in Australia.
