Xinyi advises financial investors and corporate clients on M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions as well as on general corporate law matters.
Education and Career
Xinyi studied law in Hamburg and at NYU School of Law. She completed her legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg, with placements including Shanghai and New York. Prior to joining YPOG, she worked for several years at Freshfields.

Xinyi’s experience includes advising on the following matters (including prior to joining YPOG):
- Nagarro SE on a potential take-private transaction
- UBS on the worldwide merger and integration with Credit Suisse
- Villeroy & Boch AG on the acquisition of the Ideal Standard Group
- BorgWarner on the global carve-out of its fuel systems and aftermarket businesses
- Cinven on its acquisition of MBCC Group’s Admixtures business from Sika AG
- Hamburg Commercial Bank AG (formerly HSH Nordbank) on several NPL/PL transactions
- Hamburg Commercial Bank AG (formerly HSH Nordbank) on general corporate and banking matters
- DVB Bank SE on the sale of its aviation finance business to MUFG Bank and BOT Lease Co.
