Berlin – While working at SMP, members of the YPOG team advised a fund managed by Hamburg-based financial investor BPE and the management on the sale of DuoTherm Rolladen GmbH (DuoTherm) based in Nettersheim-Zingsheim to French sun protection equipment manufacturer StellaGroup, a pan-European portfolio company of PAI Partners SAS. BPE was advised by a team led by partner Jörn Wöbke. The team advised on all legal as well as various tax matters in connection with the transaction. The firm has recently supported BPE on the management buy-out of the Civil Engineering Business of Dätwyler as well as on the acquisition of Hasenkopf Industrie Manufaktur.

DuoTherm
DuoTherm is specialized in the development, production and distribution of sun protection systems such as roller shutters, external venetian blinds and fabric shading systems. The company maily sells its products through specialist distributors such as window manufacturers or construction dealers. In 2020, the company generated sales of approximately EUR 27 million. DuoTherm currently employs around 135 members of staff and is considered a brand known for product quality and its services.
