Project A invests in Knowunity

Berlin – While working at SMP, members of the YPOG team advised early-stage investor and operational VC Project A on its investment in the learning platform Knowunity during its seed financing round. Alongside Project A who acted as lead investor, renowned business angels such as Verena Pausder, Mario Götze and Discovery Ventures participated. In September 2020, the young founders of Knowunity launched the EdTech platform that delivers learning content from high school students to high school students. Using the app, students can choose how to learn, when to learn and from whom to learn. With more than 700,000 downloads within only a few months, Knowunity evolved already into one of Germany's fastest-growing education apps. Through the financing and partnership with Project A, the startup plans to further develop the platform and increase its growth.

"Due to current circumstances, e-learning is still the only way for most students to properly prepare for exams. Although there are virtual classrooms offered by schools or great learning channels hosted by teachers on YouTube, learning from peers is a great additional opportunity," says Frederik Gärtner.
