Lars Marquardsen

Cologne

Lars advises companies, family offices, foundations and high net worth individuals on national and international tax law issues as well as on selected civil and corporate law matters. The focus of his work is on asset and company succession as well as advising founders and foundation bodies on foundation law and non-profit law issues.

Education and Career

Lars studied law at Osnabrück University with supplementary studies in economics and a specialisation in German and European tax law. He completed his legal traineeship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Hamm with stations at the Ministry of Finance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Finance Court of Düsseldorf, among others.

Before joining YPOG, Lars worked as a research assistant at the Legal Studies Institute of Finance and Tax Law at Osnabrück University (Prof. Dr. Lampert, Prof. Dr. Jochum) and at the law firms Taylor Wessing and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Lars is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the Young IFA Network Germany and taxOS e.V..
