Gerrit provides advice on all matters of corporate law related to funds, corporations and growth-oriented companies. He has a particular focus on M&A and venture capital transactions.
Education and Career
Gerrit studied law at University of Münster, Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and the University of Virginia School of Law. Following his first state exam, Gerrit earned his Ph.D. in law (Dr. iur.) at the University of Mannheim. During his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg, Gerrit completed, among others, a training at the German Football League (DFL) in Frankfurt as well as at YPOG’s Hamburg office. Most recently, Gerrit earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia University in New York.
