Berlin – A YPOG team led by Frederik Gärtner advised the Berlin-based HealthTech company FORMEL Skin on its latest Series A financing round. The funding has a total volume of €30 million and is the largest Series A financing round for a German HealthTech to date. Led by Singular, the funding was also joined by HealthTech VC Heal Capital, Cherry Ventures, Heartcore Capital and Vorwerk Ventures.
FORMEL Skin fills a gap in the European healthcare system. The huge lack of dermatologists results to long waiting times for appointments and superficial medical treatments. FORMEL Skin's system offers personalized and effective treatments and was used more than 150,000 times in 2021. The funding will be used for the intercontinental expansion and refinement of the therapy options in order to be able to treat further clinical pictures.

FORMEL Skin was founded in 2020 in Berlin. The HealthTech start-up has the mission to offer individualised, high-quality medical treatments online. FORMEL Skin solves multiple challenges facing dermatologists and patients today. Patients register online, complete a questionnaire and upload photos of their concerns. A personal doctor is assigned to the patient and will decide on the medical treatment required and adjust the treatment monthly in line with patient feedback and results. This treatment is created by pharmacies and then shipped to the patient monthly.
