YPOG advises Moss on Series C financing round – valuation rises to EUR 1 Billion

YPOG has advised Berlin-based fintech Moss on its Series C financing round. Upon completion of the transaction, Moss has reached a valuation of EUR 1 billion, achieving unicorn status. To date, the company has raised more than EUR 200 million in total funding. The Series C financing round was led by fintech specialist Portage, with participation from existing investor Cherry Ventures.

Founded in 2019, Moss develops an AI-powered finance platform for the European mid-market, providing companies with greater transparency and control over their financial processes. The platform automates, among other things, corporate card issuance, invoice management, and expense management, and is now used by more than 5,000 companies across Europe.

With the proceeds from the Series C financing round, Moss intends to further expand its “Finance AI” technology platform. The platform is designed to support finance teams in key functions such as spend management, accounts receivable management, accounting, and month-end closing processes, while ensuring that users retain full control over the AI applications they deploy.

“With this Series C funding round, Moss has reached an important milestone in its corporate development. Its unicorn status underscores the confidence international investors have in the company’s business model and technological development. It has been a great pleasure advising Moss on its journey since 2021”, comments Dr. Johannes Janning, partner at YPOG.
