Hamburg, December 17, 2025 – YPOG has provided comprehensive legal advice to AI startup Mirelo AI during a financing round worth USD 41 million (approximately EUR 35 million). The seed funding is led by the renowned U.S. investment firm Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z) together with Index Ventures, a well-known fund with European roots.
Mirelo AI, founded in 2023 between Tübingen and Berlin, develops AI models for the automated generation of sound effects for motion picture applications. The technology aims to simplify and ultimately redefine the creation of sounds for advertising, games, and film production. Sound effects can be generated, edited, and automatically synchronized based on video footage. The core technology is considered highly promising for applications in the creative and media industries.
With this round of financing, Mirelo AI plans to prepare for market entry, advance the further development of its models, and expand its team. In addition to international venture capital investors, the company is supported by distinguished figures from academia and industry.
