Berlin/Hamburg/Cologne – As of August 15, 2022, the business law firm YPOG strengthens its IP/IT practice with the renowned lawyer and expert for information technology law Dr. Lutz Schreiber. He joins YPOG together with his team from the international law firm Eversheds Sutherland. In his previous place of work, Schreiber advised his clients as a Partner on national and international IT and outsourcing projects as well as on all matters of software licensing, data protection, copyright and competition law. At YPOG, he now starts as the first IP/IT Equity Partner. His team includes Sara Apenburg, who will become a Senior Associate at YPOG, and Matthias Treude, who joins as an Associate.
This continues the dynamic development the IP/IT practice area has experienced under the work of Benedikt Flöter (Associated Partner) and Anna Eickmeier (Senior Associate) over the past 18 months. With its extensive experience in technology, media, telecommunications and information technology law, the new team will visibly complement the existing range of advisory services. The practice group will especially focus on the development and specification of its complex technology advice. Also the operational advisory expertise in so-called crypto mandates will be strengthened in close cooperation with the regulatory team around Dr. Carola Rathke.
"With the entry of Lutz Schreiber and his team, the YPOG IP/IT and data protection practice, which has been dedicatedly developed by Benedikt Flöter and Anna Eickmeier, grows to a total of two partners and three associates. We are very pleased to expand our expertise and to bundle important know-how, in order to optimally complement our advisory services also in other practice areas such as regulatory law," says Managing Partner Helder Schnittker.
