Berlin, January 22, 2026 – YPOG has advised European deep tech investors Innovation Industries and Supernova Invest on the Series B financing round of Munich-based company Orbem. The financing round totals EUR 55.5 million and was led by Innovation Industries. Supernova Invest participated alongside existing investors General Catalyst, 83North, The Venture Collective, Possible Ventures, and several angel investors.
Orbem has developed a technology platform that utilizes Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through artificial intelligence for industrial applications. Its solutions enable fast, scalable and non-invasive analysis of biological materials and are already successfully deployed in the poultry industry. With the fresh capital, Orbem plans to enter the U.S. market, further scale its solutions for the food industry, and, in the longer term, expand the application of its technology into healthcare.
Innovation Industries and Supernova Invest are among Europe’s leading venture capital firms in the deep tech space. Their joint investment in Orbem reflects strong confidence in scalable industrial AI applications with deep technological foundations and sustainable impact.
“Orbem combines scientific excellence with clear industrial applicability and global scaling potential. This is precisely the intersection of deep tech, industry and growth where we regularly advise investors such as Innovation Industries and Supernova. We are pleased to have supported this financing round,” says Dr. Benjamin Ullrich, Co-Managing Partner at YPOG.
