Berlin, 7 August 2023 – YPOG advised WAREMA Group comprehensively on the € 22 million financing round of ecoworks. Other investors include well-known venture capital funds such as PT1-PropTech1 Ventures, Zacua Ventures and Blackhorn Ventures, as well as renowned industry experts such as ALP.X Group, the owners of Huf Group and Sabancı Building Solutions.
ecoworks, based in Berlin, is an innovation leader for the serial climate-neutral renovation of existing buildings. Due to stricter European and German climate regulations, it is foreseeable that the market
growth for climate-neutral renovation will continue to increase.
ecoworks uses digital 3D planning and prefabrication processes to shift up to 80 % of activities from
the construction site to factories. The company develops and constructs facade and roof elements that are fitted around the existing building like a second skin. Within a few weeks of construction, highly inefficient buildings are to be converted into plus-energy houses. Serial refurbishment is to become a pillar for the cost-efficient and accelerated energy turnaround in the building sector.
With the freshly raised capital, the proptech plans to further develop its technology and increase
profitability.
