YPOG advises Lingotto on further investment in robotics company RobCo valuing it at more than USD 1 billion

YPOG advised Lingotto on a further investment in Munich-based robotics company RobCo. The transaction includes new capital for the company as well as the sale of existing shares by long-standing employees and values RobCo at more than USD 1 billion. Alongside Lingotto, existing investors Sequoia, Lightspeed, Greenfield, Kindred and Promus Ventures are participating, together with new investors including Cherry Ventures and European Tech Collective.

RobCo develops autonomous robotics solutions for industrial applications. Founded in Munich in 2020, the company combines robotics with AI to automate production processes and address challenges such as labor shortages, cost pressure and workplace safety. Its systems are offered through a robotics-as-a-service model, enabling deployment without upfront investment. In addition to its Munich operations, RobCo has manufacturing and assembly facilities in Austin and a development lab in San Francisco.

The company’s next phase of development focuses on advancing autonomous industrial robotics and expanding in the United States. With its autonomous industrial robot Alfie, RobCo is developing a system that combines perception, planning and execution and is designed to handle complex tasks in production environments. The commercial launch is scheduled for March 4, 2027, in Munich.

“We are pleased to have advised Lingotto on another investment in RobCo. This engagement builds directly on our work on the Series C financing round. We thank the Lingotto team for their continued trust and close collaboration,” says Benjamin Ullrich, Partner at YPOG.

YPOG previously advised Lingotto on RobCo’s USD 100 million Series C financing round in January 2026. That round was jointly led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Lingotto Innovation.
