YPOG has advised Langdock on relocating its registered seat from the United States to Germany. As part of this “reverse flip”, a European holding structure with a European Company (SE) as the group’s parent company was also established.
Langdock develops an AI platform that enables companies to use language and image models from various providers. According to the company, its applications can be integrated into business processes in compliance with data protection requirements. Founded in 2023, the startup is headquartered in Berlin and employs 65 people. More than 13,000 companies use the platform. Based on executed customer contracts, Langdock says it generates recurring software licensing revenue of more than EUR 50 million per year.
By relocating its registered seat to Germany, Langdock intends to strengthen its European focus and further develop digital sovereignty as part of its growth strategy. The company plans to offer its own computing and storage capacity and expand its offering to cover critical business processes of European companies. Langdock plans to put its own data center into operation in 2026. The company intends to invest between EUR 10 million and EUR 15 million for this purpose.
“The reverse flip from the United States to Germany and the establishment of an SE holding structure create an optimal foundation for Langdock’s continued development in Europe. The new structure is ideally suited to Langdock’s goal of combining digital sovereignty with its own infrastructure in Europe. At the same time, this step sends a signal to the entire European ecosystem and strengthens the importance of Germany and Europe as locations,” says Dr. Martin Schaper, Partner at YPOG.
