YPOG has provided comprehensive legal advice to Helsing on its Series E financing round with a total volume of USD 1.8 billion. Helsing is now valued at USD 18 billion. The financing follows several previous funding rounds in which YPOG also supported the company. .
New and existing investors are participating in the round, including Dragoneer Investment Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Disruptive, Iconiq, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, JPMorgan Chase, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), General Catalyst, Plural, Stepstone, Prima Materia, Accel and Greenoaks.
Helsing develops AI-based capabilities for the defence sector and builds technologies to protect democratic societies. The company combines software, autonomous systems and AI applications to strengthen European technological sovereignty and defence capabilities.
With the new capital, Helsing intends to further expand its technological capabilities across all domains and scale its development. The financing is expected to help the company advance its platform, products and industrial capacities and to cement its role as a European defence technology company.
